Cities occupy only two percent of the world’s landmass but they leave a huge carbon footprint. City residents must struggle with increased congestion, energy, waste and water management issues as well as jammed, polluting transportation systems. Creating smart, green, functional and liveable cities will imply several intelligent approaches, involving complex solutions and multifaceted innovation actions. Tackling the intelligent, low carbon and integrated mobility is one aspect this panel will debate about, engaging experts involved in implementing local based solutions. Challenging existing success stories from solution(s) to implementation will underline the role of decision makers in prioritisation of investment. Learning by doing and identifying transferable solutions is one the expected take away.
